Firestorm does the same, getting info from the server, but uses fewer clicks and thus it is less obvious whether a viewer or server thing. In the Linden viewer the UI is such that the query looks more a 'server' thing than a viewer thing. The About Land feature queries the region server for the information it displays about the running scripts. The viewer draws the result on your screen. The region server runs the script and tells your viewer what it is doing. When we wear a scripted item or rez one the region server and your viewer are retrieving the parts of the item they need from the asset servers. They are inactive sets of data sitting in the asset servers. The actual items listed in inventory are in the Asset Servers. Items in inventory are a name and database address. Do you have to be wearing the object that was given to you or only have it in inventory?
